At the edge of Downtown Asheville, we found a mural dedicated to the area being a former butcher district, especially to chickens. There are many beautiful murals in Downtown Asheville, some tucked away in alleys, which makes you feel as though you are in a mini Tribeca. We loved the poem to the family businesses and the vibrant representation of this mighty fowl.

The [young thieves] were brought to Cumberland County Jail with their parents for a conference with the sheriff. He asked the parents to make the youngsters pay for the stolen goods out of their allowances.
